Quality Inspection before and after Equipment Repair

Hello,

During any repair of equipment there is a requirement to do the inspection of its assemblies and to check some clearances and record the parameters (defects as well as results). After repair, the detailed inspection is required again with defect and result recording and if required a rework order needs to be created. How can we map this scenario?

In short I can explain you is ..............

This can be achieved by two ways

1.Either treating the equipment as Material (MM01)& create Manual lot with inspection lot origin 89.This will allow you to do Result recording & defect recording if the Task list is created.You have to create Manual rework order.

2.By the traditional Plant maintenance way you can create equipment master(IE01) & Create a single maintenance(ip01) plan every time when equipment is to be tested.You can trigger the Inspection lot manually through IP10.

There is provision of rework order through PM module.

Hello Sujit,

I need to do this in corrective maintenance. Is there any other way of doing this without creating the plan. Is it possible to create the Task List and enter various operations (before and after repair) and assign the MICs against these. Is there any other way of generating the inspection lots (before and after repair).

How can we create the rework order through standard PM?

Check the settings for order type.You have to create your own Order type as "rework order" in customization.You can check with your PM guys for the same.
