Hello all,
We recently upgraded to Oracle 10g by following the SAP Upgrade guide.
However, due to certain restrictions we are still using the 9.2.0.8 client on our central ERP instance and apps servers.
My question is, regarding clean up, what files (if any) can we remove for 9i to reclaim disk space? There was not information in the upgrade guide about this as far as I could tell, and I haven't been able to find any SAP Notes about it.
Any help or documentation about how to clean up after an upgrade would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello Ben,
Sapnote #392800 (Deinstall of Oracle Software) got everything you need.
Regards
Stefan

also,
the 10g upgrade guide contains steps to uninstall previous Oracle version... it would be nice that you read that section which is probably at the end of the guide.

The previously provided note from Stefan solved my issue.
I had already read the entire 10g SAP Upgrade guide as part of upgrading my db to 10. It does not contain explicit instructions about uninstalling the old Oracle Instant Client software.
Thanks for the sarcasm though. It really gave me the extra encouragement I needed to help resolve the issue more quickly.
