Hi,
We have an FG where we do in-process inspection ( origin 03) and GR from production ( origin 04)
We are creating a certificate profile to get some characteriscs from 03 and some from origin 04.
We assigned materials with origin 03 and inspection type 03 and with 04 and inspection type 04.
In the charactesrictis , we assigned as below.
Result origin : 01 Inspection result
Inspection specification origin : 01 Inspection specifications
Material sort field : assigned the materials to the respective MICs
When we try certification overview , we are getting an error
The specifications for charac. 0001 were not found in cert.profile ZCOA_FG Certificate type E22 Version 000001
Message no. QC066
Diagnosis
The specification data for characterisitc 0001 (identifier: Plant PSIL Master inspection characteristic LENGTH) from certificate profile ZCOA_FG Certificate type E22 Version 000001 was not found.
Procedure
You should note that for the selection from inspection lots, only characterisitics that have been fully processed are included. The implementation guide contains detailed information on how you can Define display modes for inspection characteristics.
Appreciate answers to the following questions
1) Is it possible to get test certificate combining inspection results of origin 03 and 04 ?
2) what is the difference between 01 inspection results and 03 inspection / batch from production chain?
3) How to resolve this error?
Rgds,
Rajesh
Appreciate answers to the following questions
+1) Is it possible to get test certificate combining inspection results of origin 03 and 04 ?
I am not very sure how to acheive this.
2) what is the difference between 01 inspection results and 03 inspection / batch from production chain?
There is huge difference as origin are different.01 is for vendor but when it comes to show the 03 batch/production its from the production order that is inhouse.Certificate is created for inhose & not for purchase items.
3) How to resolve this error?
Simply
The MIC that you have used in the task list must be exists in the certificate assignment.MIC must be released.
All char must be closed & UD must be taken.
This error comes when char in the task list does not match with the char of the certificate assignment profile.

1) Not possible to combine inspection types for profile. What you can do however is use copy inspection results,. Set up the same characteristics that are in the 03 lot, in the 04 lot. I would probably put them in a second operation so as to separate them from the 04 tests that have to actually be run. Then when the 04 lot is created, the resutls from the 03 can be copied into it. When the rest of the 04 testing is done, you'll have all the results in one inspection lot for the cert.
2) I believe you are referring to the 01 and 03 keys used in the COA profile for determing where the specs are pulled form. These do not refer to inspection lot origins. 01 is simply the internal database key for the choice of specs from the inspection lot for the material the cert is being prodcued for. The 03 is the internal key for the choice of getting the specs from a raw material used in the production of the final product. You must have the batch where used list functionaliy operating to used this feature. you must also set up the production chain info in the COA Profile by clicking on "materials" button on the menu bar.
3) to resolve this there are a couple of choices:
- Get all specs and all results from the batch record. This is probably the simplest.
- Get all specs and all resutls from one inspection lot, this means all characteristis have to be in one inspection lot, probably the 04.
- Use a combination. For each characteristic you can specify where the results and/or the specs come from. Using the batch and ONE inspection lot, you can choose which characteristic values are obtained from the batch, and whhich ones are obtained from the inspection lot. But once again, only one inspection lot will be used.
