Hi all,
we've the following problem:
We plan to send idocs (accounting documents from payroll ) from our HR-system
to our ERP-System via PI
But sap-note 121614 (last section) is against this plan:
..Can XI be used as an interface for the transer to Accounting?
The XI interface is not released for the transfer of payroll documents to Accounting.
The use of XI is at your own risk and is not supported by SAP. ..
...
I cannot believe this statement because all processes are in SAP-standard:
HR-System -> PI(1) -> PI(2) -> ERP-System
Have anyone experiences with this matter ?
We only want to use PI (idoc-adapter) to book these payroll-documents (from HR) as
Posting-documents in FI (General ledger and CO)
We want to remove our existing FTP-interface (file adapter) between HR and FI (via PI),
because of the existing abap-interfaces on both sides.
Kind regards
asaph
P.S. when I view the version-administration, I detect that the note is very old (more than 10 years)
but that the remark to XI (instead of PI) was added in version 11u2026(in march 2010)
WHY??? Who had add this passage?
Hi,
the note is still relevant; the last section was added to stress that ALE is the recommended interface for payroll posting.

Kenny

The reason for such a statement may be due to security of data as it is related to financial data and any kind of mismatch may effect badly. If both your systems are SAP there should be a way to do the transfer of payload without using PI .You can raise a message to SAP for the explanation and potential risks involved in using PI.they would be able to give you the exact reason for mentioning such a statement
