Handling Multiple Currencies

Former Member

Dear Team,

Scenario:

Current Country usage is Saudi Arabia. Some of the USA and Europe employees join in Saudi Arabia and their payroll to be in their respective currency. How SAP handles this kind of multiple currency concept in Payroll.

As we know that only the Country Currency will be considered. As an alternative for this, currently we are proposing to use Infotype 0009 to maintain the Payment Curency as EUR and USD, but the payroll process would be in the Country Currency only.

In such case, the payslip also shows in Country Currency only but for these US and Europe employees, the payslip to be shown in their Currency as the Basic, Housing, Transport etc. would be stored in their respective Currency in infotype 8,14 etc.

If we use HR Forms to develop a payslip, need to convert the currency. There would be a problem in decimals and may be the amount cannot exactly match.

How to handle this.

Thanks and Regards

Team Member.

Hi,

There is only one stadnard solution - do currency conversion for every purpose: payroll, payslip, etc.

SAP supports only one native currency per country.

Alternative solution would be to make configuration of reference currency one for all employees. Then you should store it on employee level - what is actual currency for employee. This non-standard solution.

Cheers!
