Does the STMS user have admin rights/authorisations to each /usr/sap/trans across the landscape?

This is occasionally the reason why you get this error.

Hai Barry Neaves,

I checked for STMS user as you said.He got all the admin rights and authorisations like SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.Is there any reason apart from this.

Please provide me solution for this.

Thanks

My mistake.

I meant for you to check at Operating System level.

Also check that the Hosts file has the sapgw00 and port 3200,and that there is a blank line at the end of the file...

It needs to be on every sever that has SAP on it.

It is standard for SAP to port 3200.

Hai Barry Neaves,

One more thing i want to discuss. That is when i am creating RFC connection it is giving any error if i give the gatewayhost and system no it works for test but it won't work for remote login.I thought it will help you to find the solution for my problem.

Please give me the solution for this issue.

Thanks in advance.

You must make sure that every SAP System in your whole landscape has the entry sapgw00 3200. This is essential! Otherwise SAP cannot communicate between systems.

Also make sure that tmsadm has the full administartion access to /usr/sap/trans

If you need help with this, check here for more information (I am not a unix admin): http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-4557/6maosrjgb?a=view and here http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/806-4078/6jd6cjs5q?a=view

with the new kernels they have an issue after a refresh. We found OSS note Note "1532825 - Deleting SECSTORE entries during system export/system copy" solves our issue with this error.
