DB2 licence expired - help

Hi.

I have copied 1:1(disk image)SAP production system to another disk .

On production system I have db2 on win 2003 ser 64 bit (2 proccesors - core ).

I have added new disk on my another computer (4 procesors quad) I want run SAP , system start normally but db2 not.

When i run db2licm -l

system shows :

Product name : "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"

Expirity date "Expired"

Version information "9.5"

So I try once again register licence files

run db2licm - a c:\......\db2ese_t.lic

but

system display

"LIC1432N The license could not be added to the nodelock file because this product has used maximum number of evaluation licences. The maximum number of evaluation licencses is 1 . Run this command with a permanent license key .

What I should do ?

Is it problem with proccesors number?

Hi,

If you want to create a copy of the database thier are many methods you can use but your method is not supported.

You can use SAP backup and restore or system via R3load as per the SAP system copy guides.

You can use a redirected restore also which is well documented.

And yes, for license issues Please follow SAP Note 816773 to install OEM license

Paul

You're aware that those types of "system copies" are not supported?

You need a valid license, not the evaluation licenses that come with DB2 media:

Note 816773 - DB6: Installing an SAP OEM license

"Cloning" systems like you did is not supported. Especially if you run a Java instance this will lead to all kinds of problem that need to be fixed by hand. For copies I would suggest following the official system copy guides.
