Sending FAX from SAP

Hi All,

I want to send FAX from SAP, For that what i need to do in SAP.

For mail we are using SMTP server.

Can some body tell step by step configuration. we r not using FAX server.

The Fax Server is software. Some common examples are Micosoft Exchange,

RightFax, TopCall, etc.

Hi,

Thanks for response.

We are using MightyFAX software for Fax. How can i know whether it is certified by SAP or not?

If it is certified by SAP then i should connect through SCOT t-code.

Hi Manoj,

There is a list of certified fax solution:

http://www.sap.com/ecosystem/customers/directories/SearchSolution.epx

(Certfication category >> Fax systems)

If the fax software you have is not on this list then it's because it is not SAP certified.

Hi Olivier,

Sorry for my mistake. The link which i got i followed but when i triggering FAX i am getting error like

No delivery to 07744226175@172.16.0.22, as recipient unknown

172.16.0.22 is our SMTP server.

Any idea?

Do you have a gateway between your SMTP server and a FAX server software ?

07744226175@172.16.0.22 is not a valid SMTP address, how could it work ?

For your information we dont have FAX server. we are using SMTP Server(172.16.0.22) for mail triggering.

Can we configure same SMTP Server as a FAX server?

As all user wants to doing fax from SAP(reports), for that what are the procedure please guide me.

Hi,

I really don't understand this kind of question : You want to send faxes without a fax machine ? Do you think there is a magical formula ?

There are only 2 ways for you :

Buy and install fax server hardware and software certified for SAP.

or

Subscribe to a service provided by an external company which owns the fax server hardware and software.
