Equipment sharing between plant

Dear All,

Is there any way to share the equipment between plant,eg i have an exacavator which is used for both the plant ,so i need to track the cost at parent level as well as hours running hours for another plant.

i suggest to go by changing the maintenance plant and track the usage list.

whether any simple alternative solution is there

Ideally, changing the Maintenance plant would be the right way to do it.
