G/L account for Transaction type

Hello Gurus,

please, where it is possible to set G/L acount for Transaction type? In AO73 I don't see this possibility.

Basically what I need to do:

In ABAVN we use Transaction type Y00 which uses G/L account 582100. Now we need to use different G/L account. So I will create new Transaction type, but I can't find the setting of G/L account used with Transaction type.

Thank you,

Ondrej

Finally I've found out the cause of the problem. We have customer userexit for this purpose and the assignments of accounts for transaction types are set in customer table.

Hi,

GL account is not assigned for a transaction type. But is is assigned for asset class in AO90. Transaction type is just a classification of business transaction. for Eq. Acquisition can be external acquisition, in house acquisition, goods receipt etc. These are determined by transaction types. All these will flow to one GL account which is configured in AO90.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi Madhu,

thank you very much for your answer.

But in AO90 I see assigned an account which is used when asset is retired in ABAVN only sometimes. It's really bewildering, because in most cases when we use different transaction types (during asset retirement) for assets within one asset class, different GL accounts are used - according to used transaction type. And therse accounts are not assigned in AO90. It seems there has to be some other additional setting for this, besides AO90...

Thank you,

Ondrej
