EWA Configuration

Hi,

We are running SAP setup in a network which is not exposed to internet, i.e. neither server nor client pc's are having internet connection. We also do not have saprouter installed in our system landscape. Given the constraints, can we confiure solution optimizer or EWA and use the functionalities?

In addition to Jared's advice, please also check SAP Note 727998 and attachments to that Note, as if you have no external conenction this is how you can ensure your have uptodate service definitions, which are used by EWA.

You may want to review SAP Note 657306 - Data transfer of download into Solution Manager w/o RFC.

This is only for when the satellite system does not have a connection to the Solution Manager.

This can help with generating an EWA session on the satellite system and then transferring the session data to Solution Manager for processing.

If you don't have connection to SAP I don't believe you can run Maintenance Optimizer as it requires a connection in order to

verify the download information.
