Inspection method will actually tell you How to inspect a particular char/MIC
You can use inspection method directly in MIC or against the char in the task list
Example can be very simple like take example of welding char or MIC
say you want to add one MIC as welding dim1 in the task list. While creating mic you have added one method as welding.
In inspection method long test tou can maintain how to check this welding char
like
1.What should be temp
2.what should be visual things like burr etc
3.what should be the frequency
4.what is the test setup & its parameter
etc
I hope this will add some value

Hi Snigdho,
Inspection method is the procedure that is to be used while inspecting a material. For eg, you are going to measure temperature of material with a thermocouple. So you can document all the steps for this inspection in long text. so whenever someone is going to take temperature, he/she can refer to the method to follow, its kind of SOP that is followed on shop floor. You can attach multiple methods to one MIC, but you can attach only one method to MIC in the task list.
