Maintaining the serial number Authorization

Dear SAP Guru's

I will brief about the scenario

My client has 10 plants all over India. Serial number profile is activated along with Batch.

While selecting the serial number in Sales Order, we need to enter the plant and Storage location. If we are not entering the plant and storage Location, system proposes all the serial numbers available in the desired plant as well as in all the plants where the material and batch is available. System allows to assign any serial number to the product although it is in different Plant.

How can i control the same? Can we control it through Authorization? What is the Authorization Object and how will it operate?

Check configuration in tcode OIS2/OIS1 and Check material master General plant storage data view plant wise for the plants.

Hi JP,

The configuration is already done and checked. I want to restrict the user by selecting the serial number within the given plant only and not from any plant.

It might possible through Authorization and I need the authorization object where i can check....
