NWDS Debug

Hi Experts,

I'm new to NWDS.

Can you please help me sir/madam?

I'm trying to debug in NWDS to our Development environment.

Here are the System Environment Settings:

Host; D100

Message Srv Host: D100

Message Srv Port: 3901

Dispatcher:

Debug Mode: OFF

Http Port: 50000

Debug Port: 50000

SDM Port: 0

SDM:

Debug Mode: OFF

Http Port: 50019

Debug Port: 50002

SDM Port: 50018

SERVER0:

Debug Mode: ON

Http Port: 0

Debug Port: 1024

SDM Port: 0

And my Debug Dialog have the following setup:

HOST: D100

PORT: 1024

CONNECTION TYPE: STANDARD (SOCKET ATTACH)

However when I try to run the debug dialog, it just runs and seems to hang.

It continues to hang and giving status message: "Establishing Connection".

But it does not give any errors.

I would like to ask if the setting above are enough to make debugging successful?

The SERVER0 debug mode is ON,

The SDM debug mode is OFF.

The Dispatcher debug mode is OFF.

And I'm using the Debug Port of SERVER0 which is 1024.

Is this correct? Or should the SDM and Dispatcher's debug mode should be ON also?

Please help what I other things I need to check.

Thank you very much.

Jemaru

Hi Jemaru,

Your setup looks fine. No, you should not turn on debug mode for the dispatcher and the SDM.

You might having problem using port 1024 for debugging on server0. In that case, this thread might be helpful
