Unable to Update or Delete Some Maps in MDM Syndicator

SAP MDM 5.5 SP 6

I'm able to update and delete some maps in MDM Syndicator (normally the ones I created). However, I'm trying to replace/update some Syndicator Maps that were created by a contracting firm that helped us implement the original MDM application and Iu2019m unable too. Iu2019m not getting errors and Iu2019m unable to update or delete them. I canu2019t even change the remote system their pointing too. It is like their frozen in time.

Is there some setting that allowed them to lock them?

Do I have to use the ID they used to create them? If so, how can I tell?

Is there another way to delete them?

I followed the instructions below to delete maps. Again it works on some of the maps, but not on others.

Hey,

This type of error usually comes due to authorization.

You may have have access to your Maps but not to the ones which were made earlier, Can you please login with Admin (or any other ID which has full access) and try to delete these maps.

Thanks

It turns out that you cannot update or delete a Syndication Map that is currently assigned to a Port in the Repository. You must remove the map from the Port in the Repository and then you can change and/or delete them.

1) bring up the MDM Console

2) Unload the repository

3) drill into Admin ~ Port

4) Remove or change the map associated to the port

5) Load the repository

6) Then you go into Syndicator and either Update the Map or Delete it

It had nothing to do with security.

Thank you for your help.

The scary part is that I'm using the Admin ID. However, it seems that some of the security was taken away from the ID. I have the server administrator looking at the security to give the Admin id full security again. The Admin id can't even start the repository right now.

Thank you

Hi ,

Just check what role assigned to that admin ID ,may be some changed the role from admin to some other role.

Thanks,
