Hi Raja,

Price family is a special function of Retail pricing, which allows you to maintain predefined price relationship between different articles which should be considered when doing a sales price calculation.

It will have a Master article, under which you can have various family group.- these can have predefined price relationship

For eg : Master article can be Shampoo under which you can have 2 family groups like Shampoo - 100ml,Shampoo - 250ml etc

Now if you want a price reduction of say $5.00 for each of these products you don't need to maintain prices individually for these articles. In this case, for master article and both the family group articles would have a reduced price of say $5.00.Price reduction can happen either in the form of Price Ratio(%) or in the form of Absolute discount.

SAP Easy Access Menu path

Master data ->Pricing ->Environment - Maintain Price Families

Tcode - PRFAM

Please see below the preconditions for the same

A leading article for price calculation, called the master article, is assigned to

each price family. Articles that you want to price based on this master article are

called subordinate articles. All subordinate articles that should have the same price

relationship to the master article are grouped in family groups. A subordinate article

of a family group must be defined as a reference article. A subordinate article can

only be assigned once to a family group within a price family

Hope it helps
