How to import only changed field using import map?

Hello Experts,

Is there any way to import partial file using import manager.

Example:

If there are 10 fields, mapped in import map (XML Schema type).

Now if import xml is having only two fields tag in it...

Will import action preserve values of remaining 8 fields?

Hi Shailesh,

Suppose If you import file with 10 fields in first map then all of these 10 fields get populated into MDM. Now suppose you only want to update only 2 fields then just map these updated source fields only. I mean you can map only 3 fields 2 updated fields and 1 field is matching field on the basis of which you will import, this is 1 way using which only your 2 field values get updated and remaining 8 field values will be preserved as before.

If you also want to map other 8 source fields with target fields which has now null values and you want to preserve existing values for all of these fields then, right click on all of these 8 fields one by one in Destination Fields under Map Fields/Values Tab,

Set Null Interpretation = Ignore

Just try and revert with result.
