Sync Mam010 all filled items synchronize always??

Hi all,

When I modify a field on the TOP of the SyncBo MAM_010 and then synchronize with the back-end... he synchronize also all sub-items of the MAM_010. This is not normal...

Does anybody know what the problem could be? He should only synchronize the TOP.

Hi Chris,

When you synchronize, the entire sync BO data is synchronized. The item level data are never transported seperately but always come together with the TOP row of the sync BO.

So it is very much the expected behaviour.

First let me tell you what I have understood from your question:

When modify a field in the TOP structure of MAM_010 syncBo, then on sync item data is also send.

You are right. This is unusual. MI framewoek is designed to send only the delta data between the client and the middleware.

Can you answers following queries, so that I can help you further:

1. What are SP levels of your client & middleware server?

2. Where in your MI landscape did you identify this unusual behaviour?

Middleware SP15

Transaction: MEREP_MON

I know when you modify an item that the top will come also... but not all other items...

2. Which items do you see in MEREP_MON?

3. Can you confirm that the data from the item has been updated in the previous sync than the suspect one?

4. Do the items carry a add action or a modify action?

I'm only changing the PURCH_NO_C field on the TOP.

2. Which items do you see in MEREP_MON?

TOP, 040, 050, 060, 080

3. Can you confirm that the data from the item has been updated in the previous sync than the suspect one?

Yes.

Hi Chris,

MAM application updates many items even though only the header is applied.

I am not sure about the reason but maybe some metadata is sent through this items.

There is no porblem with your setup.

However, I suggest you to use latest version MAM25 for your purpose.
