Hi gurus,
while changing the profile parameter login/min_password_lng, getting error E:login/min_password_lng is not identified identically on all servers. kindly help me to change the profile parameter login/min_password_lng.
thanks in Advance,
Anbu
Hi,
When you define a parameter at instance level this overrides the global definition. I believe you have removed the instance level definition for this parameter ?? Ensure that this parameter is defined ONLY in the DEFAULT profile . The summary is to have one value for this parameter for the whole SAP system rather than having different values for different application servers as a security policy parameter(of this kind) is something to do with a complete SAP system.
Let us know.
cheers !

Hi,
Use default system profile DEFAULT.PFL to make the parameters globally effective in an SAP system
(system profile parameters).
Also u can make them instance specific by setting them in the profiles of each server in ur SAP system.
Thanks

Hi,
Change the parameter in defalt profile, eventhough warning is coming.
Reboot the system , everything will be ok.
Its showing as currently you dont have identical paramter in all servers which will be maintained after setting this in default profile and then reboot.

Message is clear... if you have more than 1 instance change the values so they are even. You could also remove the parameter from the instance profiles and use the DEFAULT.PFL

Hi,
You may maintain this parameter in the DEFAULT profile rather than instance profile so that all servers use one value for this parameter .
