Hi,

We are about to install ECC6.0 system. Can you please let me know what type of file system will be better. Which dir should I make mount points like /oracle etc..

It will be great if you can suggest mount points which need to be created .

Os is Solaris and Database is Oracle.

Best Regards,

Arpit.

I don't now which installation document you have but section

3.3 Setting up file systems and mount point

and especially

3.3.2 Oracle directories

lists all directories and their mountpoint together with the necessary space.

What is in your case "better"?

On Solaris you can use UFS, ZFS and if you want to pay additional money and need the functionality VxFS/VxVM from Veritas.

This information is available in the official installation guide (did you read it?).
