I am posting this error after searching the same on the same on SDN Communities and implementing all the work around that have been suggest in [; and other links as well.
I am still getting the same error as mentioned in the subject line. I have also UNCARed the J2EEINSTALL.SAR file of the JAVA components in the installation directory as it was told to so to make sure the perfect installation of the JAVA Components.

Hello,
Please check if /sapmnt/SS1/global/security/data
is physically there?
sapinst executes the following command at this step of the installation:
chown ss1adm.sapsys /sapmnt/ss1/global/security/data/StoreSec.proper
I would suggest to manually execute this command in order to change the
owner and to restart the installation.
regards,
John Feely

Is the file residing on an NFS mounted directory?

Who told you to do so?

- Are you running the installation as user 'root'?
- Is 1007 the user id of <sid>adm?

HI Markus,
The file system is residing on NFS mounted directory.
I am using the root user for the installation
1007 is not the SID of the <sid>adm...it is of another Instance's SID(we are installaing all the components on a same box for our blue print environment)
I am still getting the same error as mentioned in the subject line. I have also UNCARed the J2EEINSTALL.SAR
file of the JAVA components in the installation directory as it was told to so to make sure the perfect installation of
the JAVA Components.
it was tols in one of the SDN blogs
Pls correct me if I am wrong
Thanks

Ok. So you have to configure your NFS server to allow the owner change from the box you're installing. How is that directory exported?
