SAP Installation error during Database Instance

Dear all,

SAP 4.6 , Win 2003 , Oracle 10g. The Installation path for SAP and DB is D drive and Inside the 😧 drive I have found 2 directory as USR and Oracle (D:oracle\IRD\102 also).

I have checked E: drive , I found the Oracle\IRD Dirctory with 2 subfolders in the Oracle\IRD . ie E:
oracle\IRD\92\Inventory and E:
oracle\IRD\102\Inventory . I have installed Oracle 10g . (before oracle 10 g , i have installed oracle 91 then after i have uninstalled oracle 9i) I have found Oracle home directory in Environmental variable as e :
Oracle\IRD\92 ... let me know before Installing DB instance , i have to define Oracle Environmental directory ? During the installation of DB instance , i got the below error . I suggest you reinstall the operating system or follow Oracles installation documentation how to completely uninstall an old version.

Also note that for 4.6c you need a special kernel (46D_EX2) and modified installation templates as of

How have u removed your oralce 9i installation ?

I recommend you to first deinstall Oracle installation completely

Please Note in Windows there is a registry which stores information so ur deinstallation must ensure that all entries pertaining to oraclde9i is removed from the registry as well .

Open up ur registry editor from run> regedit and check for any 9i related information if found remove them.

Start ur installation freshly removing all previous installations of oralce/sap.
