BI 7.0 SPS14 to BI 7.01 SPS06

We are applying support packs to our BI system that is running ABAP stack only. The BI_JAVA stack is installed on a separate Portal system that we plan to put support packs on later.

Does anyone know of any problems with doing the BI_JAVA stack later - other than new java functionality won't work?

TIA,

Margie

I don't see any issues other than stuff related to Business Explorer 7.x

Thanks Markus - I read the note and several other related ones, it looks like doing the ABAP stack before the Java stack is not a big concern - but doing BI_JAVA before ABAP could be troublesome. I think we'll be alright.

Thanks much,

yes - correct. I'd start with the ABAP stack (that's basically what I did last weekend).

Me too, I applied support packs last weekend. I updated both at the same time. This made some testings easier.

The BI-Java part and the BI part should be in sync.
