Trademark symbol in line text.

Is there a way to insert a trademark symbol into the Item > Text? It seems that registered trademark ® works but not the unregistered trademark. u2122

I could copy u2122 symbol from your post and paste it in an item text. What's the issue?

Correct, but when you save the text, back out to the the items and go back into the text you will notice that now your "TM" has been replaced with a # sign.

Not in my system. It stays as I saved. We are on ECC 6.0 though.

That is interesting. We are on ECC 6.0 also. What character ISO set are you all using?

Also do you know who would know how to update / change it?

I our system it turns it into a # when you save it and go back into it.

Wow! I thought with Unicode all such issues are gone.

But take a look at this OSS note:

447596 - Euro sign/Trademark sign: processing: Release Independent

It sounds like Greek (not Unicode) to me, but you may get some useful info

Thanks for the direction. Looks like we might not be on unicode yet even though we are on ECC 6.0.

SO10 - Standard Text

SE73 - Font

SE78 - Graphic

SE75 - Settings

Using Menu 'Tools/Form Printout', you can enter the realm of everything forms/printing.

I am not an ABAPer. My colleague ( ABAPer) says it is SE71. However I did not find Edit" --> "Command.. to "Insert Command" -> "SAP character.

Please work with your ABAP/Basis colleagues.

What I'm trying to do doesn't have anything to do with a abap program. This is just the use of transaction VA01 or 02 to create and modify sales orders.

What I'm looking for is on the indivudual line item after it's selected you can do: GoTo > Item > texts and set the item note for that item is where I need the use of the TM symbol.

TM is might not be available as standard symbol. So, you have to make it available in the client you are working on.

Hope it can assist you.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Especially if the DB is the one controlling the character values.

Standard symbols are user defined and are maintained in table TTDTG (as in 5.0) or TTDG.

Try and use tcode SM30 to change or display standard symbols.

For further assistance or information take assistance of an ABAPer.

Hope it can assist you.

Thanks & Regards
