Performace Improvement - Sync messages

Hi, I have a Sync RFC-> JDBC Stored procedure -> RFC scenario.

The response time is pretty slow (it slow in XI , the the stored procedure response itself is very fast).

I would like to know the steps i can take to improve the perfomace..

I have already done the folowing and noticed slight improvement in the performance -

1) Switched off the logging SYNC and reduced the Trace level to 0

2) Increaced the no of parrallel RFC connections and JDBC connections.

what version of XI / PI?

what version of ERP?

that database and version?
