stored procedure - BOXI R2 SP3

Hello ,

I want to import the stored procedure in Business Objects Universe. I am using Business Objects XI R2 SP 3 and Database is Oracle 10g.As far as I know BO XI R2 does not support the Store Procedures. I would like to know is there any work around so that we can import store procedure.

Hi Rahul,

That is an excellent question! I would have thought that XI R2 did support Stored Procedures. But I did not work with them in XI R2. It seems to not be a problem in R3. Also, they have worked with Crystal Reports for a long time, if you have access to that.

As far as a workaround, I don't know of one, but maybe there is someone out there who can help?

The stored procedure support with BO has come up with version XI 3.0 which you can generate reports with web I rich client by building a stored procedure universe. If you only need of generating the reports using stored procedures i believe you can use Deski which supports stored procedures as data provider with out the need of using universe.

The below points were applicable to using XI R3.

In universe there are no joins allowed.

No creation of filters, conditions

Not possible to edit the object definition and also properties
