SAP 4.7 / Windows 2003 Upgrade to ECC 6.0

I have a 4.7 landscape that I want to upgrade to ECC 6.0. The 4.7 systems are on Windows 2003 / Oracle. If I want to eventually get to ECC 6.0 on Windows 2008 / Oracle , what would be the best path to get there?

Hello,

Yes have to upgrade SAP first

SAP products prior to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 are not supported on

Windows Server 2008.

what abt ur oralce version ? i doubt win 2008 supports only 10.2.0.4. you may have to upgrade that too.

Upgrade oracle & SAP in win 2003 and they do a installation of ECC6 in win 2008 & Do a system copy( DB restore).

are you converting to 64-bit in the process?

1. upgrade r/3 on your exiting win2003 machine.

2. then prepare a migration to your win2008 machine.
