System monitoring

Hello colleagues!

There is some trouble wich I can't resolve.

In customizing screen for productive system I can't setup database system monitoring - monitor statuses in solman are grey. When I go to my production server in RZ20 I see that my Database template is "inactive":

goto RZ20 > SAP CCMS Monitor Templates > Database > Doule click on "Backup" (for example) > get SID\Database\...\Backup\...: No method assigned

Also I see some difference in RZ20 of my test and productive instances.

These nodes are in productive system

Database

Database

Database Host Operating System

R/3 DB Clients (Applicationservers)

And these are in test system:

Database

Database

Oracle

Database Host Operating System

R/3 DB Clients (Applicationservers)

DataArchiving

But why I don't know...

Unfortunately I can't change these nodes because of they belong to SAP namespace.

Any help will be appriciated.

most probably the background dispatching for CCMS is not activated.

Could you explain what exaclly did you mean? Background job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR? Please give me some details for your answer.

go to the Online Documentation and start the [search function|http://help.sap.com/search/sap_trex.jsp]. Insert "background dispatching" in the search and read the very first hit.

Database > Database > Backup> BackupData (select) > click on button "Properties" > tab "Methods"?

Now I see in field "Data collection method" - "<NO_METHOD>" in prod. system.

In test system I see the same place "CCMS_ORA_space_tsp_all_ct"...

You can choose the methods form the Method assignment tab in Properties.

Choose Method Assignment -> goto data cloection method->form the Method allocation -> choose method name and the method form f4 help.

Dear Jagadheeshan!

Thank you for answer! Unfortunately I can't switch edit mode for Data Collection tab. Edit mode is available only for Auto-reaction and Analysis tabs.

Do you know how to edit DataCollection tab?

Also in test system I have the same situation - edit mode is unavailalbe for DataCol tab, but monitor works fine.
