Unable to import XML files with and with out repeating nodes

HI All,

I am struct in between, can any one comment please:

I am using MDM 5.5 SP06 and we went live with one xsd .. Thats fine..

Now we are getting the XML file with multiple iteration and I am in Test phase trying to use the same MAP file .. It is failing to map few fields.. How can I resolve it? Do I need to update the map file wiht the new xml file??

If I update the map file...I am unable to process production file....

How can I create a single map file which accomidate actual and new xml (repeating node) files..

Thanks

Rajeev

Hello Rajeev

You should check in import manager log which fields(attributes)

was lost during last import from your new source file (maybe that fields or it's values was change(reloaded) in your repository)

You can :

1) get old source and load it with your old mapping. if you get same error - data in repository was changed(reloaded)

fix your old mapping and save it. Then use that mapping for new source file -i believe, all stay OK

2) if old mapping work fine with old source and didn't work with new

save another version of your map in Import manager for that select "File-Save as" and enter new name for your map

and use both - old and new map for correspond sources
