The tables are not listed in table browser (Designer) MS SQL 2005 SP3

Database: SQL 2005 SP3, using ODBC Connection

Database name: Test_7.6_Reporting

Business Objects XI3.1 SP2

When I open the table browser, I see all my databases listed.

If I expand these I see three folders - Information_Schema, dbo and Sys, it doesn't show anything after i expand dbo.

I need to know how to get these tables to show.

Please advice. Thanks!

Hi BK,

This seems odd. All I can think of is that there may be a security issue. Maybe it doesn't register you as dbo. Check into the possible security differences between you and a user who can see those tables under dbo.

Thanks!

Yes this is very weird.

I have asked my DBA to rename the DB (do not use the ".") . waiting for him to do that. I can see all other databases and tables from the same db server.

Hi BK,

Also check, are there other users who can connect to that database in Universe designer? Or are you the only one who needs to? There is something different about either 1. the database, or 2. your login security vs. other people's login security, assuming they can see it and you can't.

Thanks!

DBA has helped us to re-create the DB without the ".".

It works now.
