Article master/Inforecord

HI

I have doubt about article master. Is it mandatory to have inforecord and source list before creating article master. We have a pushbutton in purchasing view of artcile master in MM41 transaction. Will thier be any difference if i create inforecord after creating artcile master.

Hi

You can create info recod and source list along with article master or before, there is no problem in it. The vendor related values will be defaulted in the article master if you have created info record earlier.

Hello,

It is better to create site level views of Article Master after the Info records have been created. This is because there are certain fields such as lead time, purchase group, rounding profile etc. can be defaulted from info records to the site level view. Another important field is the Moving Average Cost/Standard Cost field which can be only be populated at site level with an initial value only if is created after the info records.

But it is not mandatory to create Info records/Source list before the site level views.
