Solman / Transport management

Hello there

We are creating a template project for a global rollout of SAP R3 and would like to use solution manager for managing transport request. I am not sure if we need to install Charm to be able to use this functionality, anybody have any experience in this area.

Hi Steve,

you can manage the Transports in a well defined documented manner with the CHARM process. You can go with the normal or urgt correction to implement the transports . No need to install any other things except solution manager 7.0 EHP1 with latest support packs. You have to activate Charm , reconfigure your transport routes etc .

global rollout functionality is supported by create a template project at headquarter and implementation projects at client locations

but if u r talking about managing changes which are happening you need to go for CHARMS activation
