config guide: WebDynpro ABAP for Interactive Forms?

The "Configuration Guide" (see note) shows (diagram on the 9th page - page 6) a "Web AS Java" for the Interactive Forms. I suppose this uses Web Dynpro for Java. Could the same be done via Web Dynpro for ABAP? This would place the interactive forms on the ABAP stack, which is more straightforward if the business application is running on ABAP, too (e.g. ECC). This would mean that only ADS itself would run on Java.

Any ideas on advantages/disadvantages of either approach?

Note: I am looking at the version "For SAP NetWeaver 7.0 / Support Package SPS 13) / Document Version 1.3 u2013 September 2007" see [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30a9630b-4f89-2a10-6fab-e311b3ffd9a6] or else surf to [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobe] and click on "Installation and Configuration" and then on " Configuration Guide for SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe".

As far as I can tell you can run ADS only on Java stack, no options. Otto

Thank you for your reaction.

The diagram shows 2 Java stacks: one for ADS itself and one for Interactive Forms / Web Dynpro Runtime. My question referred to the latter.
