Hi,
We are implementing SRM and MDM component. I would like to know whether TREX is required in for MDM catalog search.
If required, then what are the possbile scenarios.

TREX is mandatory used in CCM. CCM uses SAP Catalog Authoring Tool available in SAP Catalog Search Engine.
However MDM covers in-built mechansim used in TREX functionality, So SRM-MDM Catalog does not require the TREX.

If Client is not interested in leveraging the internal search engine provided by MDM Catalog, can a third-party search engine be used (like the one that comes with Documentum)?
