Can't delete users because of active workflow

Hi SAP Experts,

I would just like to ask if a user id cannot be deleted if active workflows for that user id exists? We are having a message while deleting a user id "User has active workflow objects. Cannot delete" what should we do to delete the user id?

Hi,

May be you need to delete or forward all work items , then only you can delete user.

This is also my initial guess, I have deleted the workitems and is waiting for basis to confirm that the user id can now be deleted. I am just curious would there be other reasons why aside from active workitems for the user. Thanks!

In cases, where you require a work flow and you dont want the id to be used. In such cases, you can define the validity date in that user id. It will prevent from id being used and your work will also not affect.
