Sales Order Status and VBBE entery

After I create an order,the order gets completly confirmed even though there is not enough stock.Also there is no open schedule lines in VBBE table.

Question is : What settings are driving to change the status as Sales Order as Confirmed on requested date right after saving the order even though there is not enough stock for the item.

When I see the document status in va02 after creating an order,the status fields shows blank,I think it should be open..

What order type are you using?

Have you run report SDVBUK00 for the sales order to check whether the status could be corrected?
