Client copy abort issue

Former Member

Hello experts,

I was attempting a client copy and unfortunately it failed because of table space issues. This issue was rectified and I once I am trying to complete the client copy via user SAP*.

Unfortunately I am unable to do so as the system is coming back with u201CI do not have authorizationsu201D. It seems I have no authorizations to any transactions at this point.

Can someone please advise if there is a work around to this issue?

Thanks in advance for all assistances.

Regards,

Iqbal

I think the best will be to delete the target client and restart the client copy process again.

Dear

You can schedule the client copy (point in time in future) using your own user-id and you can then change the user that is contained in the step of the background job using transaction SM37 (for example change the step user into DDIC).

That should give sufficient authorization for the client copy to proceed.

Kind regards

Tom

Hi,

Which type of client copy you are doing and what is the profile ?

I suggest not to go with SAP* for this activity, try to login with any other user who has suffiicient authorization and continue .

Just tried it with the same results.....

I tried a few other user accounts, also with the same results.

Can you think of anything else that i can try?

Hi Iqbal,

Can you post the SCC3 logs of your client copy so that will get more idea about your issue. Also , let me knowwhether you are using the source clients user credentilas to login .
