Hi,

Iu2019ve just installed Oracle RAC (OCFS) with SAP on Windows 2008 x64. The installation was good and the functionalities of RAC work, but I see that in the second node when I explore the shared file systems through Windows Explorer , the access is slow. Also sometimes when I execute some executable ( e.g. u201Ccrsctlu201D or u201Ccrs_statu201D o u201Csrvctlu201D) the Windows System produce a dump and restart the SO with u201CBlue Screenu201D.

Do you know if I have to install a software on my Windows Systems ??

Hardware: 2 Nodes Dell PowerEdge R710, The SAN is EMC Clariion AX4-5.

Thank you very much.

Tony

This Dump and the slowness of file system Access (OCFS) was fixed by Windows Patch KB977694...

The RAC functionalities appears good, but when i force a Windows Shutdown (whille Database still active on one of node) the entire system is hanging for 7 minutes aproximately. I see that after the node was shutdown, on the other node the OCFS file system desappear for some minutes.

If i force a Database Shutdown i don't have any problems and the RAC funcionalities work good, also if i force the crs resources shutdown with (crsctl stop crs) and afterward i force Windows Shutdown, the system still work correctly. Only if i restart o shudown Windows on one of the node while all services are online, the system hangs and in the other node i have access problems on some of the OCFS file systems (some shared mount point disappears for some minutes)....

Thanks

Hi,

I would suggest to check the Windows event viewer (eventvwr.exe) for any error since this seems more an O.S related issue.
