SAP MII Error at Global Configuration

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi

I am taking over the installation/configuration of MII from my co-worker (Andre). He posted his problem at forum ()

Kumar

1.If you are using SAP ME 5.2 ERP Integration, SAP MII 12.1 Support

Package 05 is required.

- we will download the package 5 from solution manager and will upgrade it.

3. Microsoft SQL Server 2005: Standard or Enterprise Edition

If you are using Microsoft SQL Server as your SAP ME 5.2 DBMS,

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP3 is required.

- we have Oracle. Will there be a problem?

Thanks.

Hello,

The Trouble shoot guide has different sections, I would try below steps to identify root cause and its possible solution

So lets break-up your error sample,

Open the [Trouble Shoot Guide|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/JavaServerTroubleshootingGuide%28JSTSG%29]

1) We can identify that its an http error with error code "500 internal error"

Go to Section "Web Application issues" here you will find 3 topics

i) Problems requesting a web application

ii) Problems related to web application sessions

iii) Problems with application log files and analyzing errors in log files

2) Based on rough idea of error we can make out that its not related to topic ii) and iii) so click on First Topic i) Problems requesting a web application

3) Based on error we can make out its an HTTP error so click on link "HTTP error messages and exceptions"

4) Since we are getting an Exception click on link "Exception"

5) Now you can see some Exception types Choose the most relevant to your error which is "Null Pointer Exception" click on link "java.lang.NullPointerException"

6) Choose the Appropriate Null Pointer Exception Type and That should lead you to a page where you can find possible solution.

Here's one such possible solution link [Null Pointer Exception|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/%28JSTSG%29%28Web%29Problems-P126]

I would recommend getting in touch with a Netweaver Administrator to fix this issue

Hope this helps to get to your issue and rectify it.

Adarsh

Hello,

ME has their own forum now. You should try posting this question there with a link back to this thread. A lot of the MII configuration for ME is specific for ME and you really need an ME input to this problem.

Hi Adarsch

Thanks for helping. That was exactly what I did with the trouble shooting guide.

What I know is that the error occured at

java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.deployment.api.WDDeployableObjectPart.getName() of an object loaded from local variable 'applicationPart'

where the function getName() try to access the local variable 'applicationPart' variable. The question is where can I edit the this applicationPart and what should I insert as value?

thanks!

Hi Michael

Thanks for the tip. I will repost my inquiry there in ME.

BTW, thank you for writting "How to Send an IDOC from SAP ECC to the SAP MII Idoc Listener"

Great description ... step by step

I am always glad to hear people are using the IDoc guide and find it useful. If you do not get any responses from the ME forum, let me know and I will try to direct some ME folks to look at your issue.

Good luck!

HI,

If you are using Oracle with ME5.2 then you need to have Oracle Database 10g release 2. And please refer to

note :" 1405260" . For quick solution about connectivity please postyour questions in Manufacturing execution forums.

Thanks,

How did you get this error?

Do you have users created with the role SAP_XMII_User?

Hello,

I guess you must be getting some kind of HTTP error codes like 500, 503, 504 etc...

Refer to this trouble shooting guide against the type of error and error code if any...

[Trouble Shoot Guide|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/Java%20Server%20Troubleshooting%20Guide%20%28JSTSG%29]

Hope this helps you to fix the issue.
