Changing JCO destination name in Webdynpro JAVA applications

Hi experts,

I need to change the JCO destination name for existing webdynpro JAVA applications with a new JCO name.

Please suggest whether I need to create the webdynpro model again manually in NWDS or there is any other prodedure for doing

this.

Dear srini,

we can also create a new JCO Destination based on a existing one. Go to Content Administration--> web Dynpro

and " create new JCO destination". there is a option Copy it from a existing JCO destination , select that option.

If you want to change the JCO destination in the webdynpro application you need to chage then in the two places -

Modeldata destination - Expand the Model->Model Class -> Properties in this u need to give the Model data destination

Metadata dEstination - Expand dictionaries-> Dictionary with the model name -> Properties in this u need to give the Meta data destiantions

Hi Srini,

1.Log on to server:

http://<host name>:<port number>/index.html

2.Click on WD tools

3.Log in into that and click on webdynpro console.

4.Select Main JCO destiantions

5.Select the appropriate JCO and click on edit link to chaneg the name.

NO need to recreate a model once you change the JCo name.
