XI monitoring

Dear experts,

I am daily monitoring our XI system. We had some backup activity on retail server for last two days as a result inbound idocs

were not accepted since server was down.In order to transfer the same required files as idocs, files were copied to required FTP path.

But files were not accepted by XI server as idocs into retail server.

We were not able to open java stack on explorer, system got hang.

Finally XI server was shutdown and restarted.Thats how problem resolved. Now i am willing to explore the exact error that

occured due to java stack.I dont know which logs or tcodes should i try to run and find out ?

use the default trace file or the java stack dump files to troubleshoot.

usually these logs can be found in /usr/sap/<SID>/<node>/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/

Hello,

Use TX SM21 for system messages.

Use the RWB for monitoring:

http://<hostname>:5NN00/rwb

(NN = systemnumber)

Look also in the next recent Java loggings:

They could be a little confusing.

/usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log

/usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/system

Kind regards,

Marcel
