Message(req-res) structure of a Webservice

Hi,

I am working on a scenario where I need to call a webservice.

Can any one tell me that in order to get the exact structure of the request and the response message to that webservice , the wsdl of the webservice is sufficient.

I mean when we upload the wsdl as external definitions , we get request and response structures in the messages tab of the external definitions, is that is what is required to construct the request and response message to use in the mappings.

Please help.

Thnx.

Pravesh.

Hi,

If you are calling WebService from XI, yes, you need to have wsdl downloaded into the External Definitions. If the Webservice is Synchrnonous , you will be having Req/Resp structure in the wsdl.
