trigger a FM from XI?

Hi,

Can we trigger a Function Module from XI to update the data in the Legacy side.

The scenario is IDOC XI and different adapters File/JDBC/proxy.

Hi,

Yes, we can use RFC (Remote function) also ABAP proxy.

If it is Idoc to XI then you can use any of the Adapters as mentioned by you to update the legacy systems in the Receiver side

I want to send from IDOC to FIle/JDBC/Proxy.

We are going to execute an RPG prog for the legacy update from FM which needs to be triggered from XI.

Can this be done in XI?

Hi,

you can send the data via RFC (so FM)

or IDOC and send data to File/JDBC/proxy

no problem with that
