Error starting SAP-System with new EHP1 kernel

Hello experts,

I have updated an NW04s EHP1 system from kernel 32 to the current 94.

When I try to start the Instance-Service, it comes back with an 14001 error in the sapstartsrv.exe.

The Eventlog tells me a "SideBySide"-Error, and that the Service "failed to start ... because the application configuration is incorrect" ???

Further researchs with the "dependency walker"-tool results that the file "msvcr80.dll" is missing.

I have installed all the updates from the MS update website concerning the MS.NET.

I also installed the vcredist 8.0 update

... Nothing worked.

The old version 32 of the kernel does not have that issue. Only the 94 one.

Anyone having the same problem an solved it?

My Settings:

NW04s - EHP1

Win2003 x64 EP Server

MSSQL 2008 SP1

Hello Void,

this error usually takes place by missing/incorrect Windows DLLs. Please refer to the 'Solution' part of note #684106 and install the missing DLLs.

Also please refer to note #1375494 for an alternative solution in case the problem persists.
