Issue with role names in first level user menu

Hello Gurus,

We have recently done upgrade from R3 4.6c to ECC 6.0 .

we had an issue with user menu, with the parent - child roles.

In R3 if we assign a child role to user , in user menu the parent role appears,

Where as in ECC if we assign a child role , child role itself is seen in the user menu.

Please let me know where this configuration needs to be done.

EX:

suppose child role y:SAP_GL_support:AU Australia GL support.

parent role is y:SAP_GL_support GL Support.

if we assign Y:SAP_GL_SUPPORT:AU in R3 ...... paresnt role y:SAP_GL_SUpport is appearing in user menu.

whereas in ECC if we assign Y:SAP_GL_SUPPORT:AU this role is itself appearing in user menu.

Hello Sanketh,

set DELETE_DOUBLE_TCODES to NO in table SSM_CUST. does the issue still exist then?

Delete_double_tcodes issue has been resolved by maintinaing tyhe value to NO.

This is a new issue, in R3 when i assign a child role to a user , parent role appears in the user menu ....

where as in ECC when i assign child role to the user , only child role appears in the user menu ...

My client wants tp keep the user menu setting same as in R3.

I could not find nay table to maintain this setting.... can you pls provide some info .. on where to maintain this setting...
