Hai Guys,
What is the speciality or any feature that distinguishes the Promotions in IS-Retail & Standard R3.
In R3 also we can give discounted price, use discount condition types as we do in IS-Retail. Else we can give 'special promotion prices' with a validity date. When or why should a customer go for IS-Retail Promotions
Is Site Group is the sole reason?
It will be of great help for all SAP Consultants if your views about this is shared.

besides what you mentioned earlier, you can also
- send the retail promotion data to POS using IDOC
- assign bonus buys to a retail promotion.
- generate PO(s) and STO(s) using allocation table. it streamline your supply chain process.
- create promotion notifications to confirm the quantity to be delivered.
- control assortment and listing.
