I got it to work when

The number range was configured in transaction OONR as follows:

Subgroup = 01$$, or create new subgroup 01O

External = name is EX, range is 00000001 - 59999999

Internal = name is IN , range is 70000000 - 79999999

Table T77S0 value set:

Group = PLOGI, Sem. Abbr. = PLOGI, Value Abbr. = 01

This is my exact question, however the solution is not working in SRM 7.0.

Here is the specific scenario:

We ALE our organizational structure from ECC and hence retain org unit numbers.

Next we need to create some new orgs in SRM for items such as purchase org and purchase groups.

The number range for internally created orgs is using the same number range as ECC.

Specifically, can someone provide all the steps to create a different SRM internal number range, and related config?

Simply creating 01O along with an internal number range for the object had no effect on the numbering when I created a new org in SRM.

Help please.

The current settings for number range in R/3 and SRM are as follows:

<R/3 And SRM >

1.Active Plan Version (T77S0,PLOGI PLOGI=01)

2. Number range (OONR)

You may define your own internal number range for this objects of type O

Here you can set up a subgroup for the number range object. If your

active plan version is '01', the name of this subgroup is '01O'. Now

you can maintain a new external interval for this subgroup. Please

make sure that this interval is a non-overlapping one to all the

existing intervals; this will prevent you from overwriting/changing

data for existing objects of type 'O' that are replicated from the

HR-system in case HR replication is involved.
