API for Central Monitoring/Solution Manager

I am new to SAP. I have been asked to investigate writing a .Net application which can obtain and process information that would be manually viewed using Centrol Monitoring / Solution Manager. I have been searching and haven't found the appropriate documentation. I assume that a .Net client can act as a WCF client. Does such a programmatic interface exist? Where can I find documentation on the API? A typical kind of information that we want to retrieve is number of Logged On Users.

Is there additional credentials I might need beyond the log in to this forum?

You'll need your SAP Service Marketplace login information to log in there or your single sign-on.

Click on the Media > Documentation on the left side to get a list of many documentations available to download for Solution Manager.
