Tables to keep for system refresh

We regularly refresh our development and QA systems with production copies of our systems.

If we've enabled features in Solution manager, ie Monitoring, BPM, Change management, Job Monitoring, Messaging, etc,

how do we keep the connectivity of the refreshed system to Solution manager? We need a list of the solman related tables (in sattelite systems) that we can export and reimport after system refresh...

We have a Solution Manager SMD that connects to QA and DEV and a prod Solman (SMP) that only connects to Production systems.

If we also refresh our development SMD with prod SMP solman, we need the list of the table to keep the connectivity and features working with satellite system.

Does anyone have this info?

Hello there,

I cannot give you a complete list of all the tables you have to keep, but in a satellite system you should keep the RFCs, the table

BCOS_CUST, the connection settings of TMS and also the connection settings of CCMS. I don't know the tables for the CCMS and TMS connection settings.

Hello,

we usually delete the RFC connections to SolMan and the trusted system for Solman in the refreshed system and then recreate the RFC destinations with the RFC Wizard in SMSY. You might also have to delete some of the RFC destinations to the refreshed system in SolMan before doing this.

Then check SDCCN in the refreshed system and you have everything you need.

Dear Lourdes,

There are no Solman related tables in any of the Satellite systems. Solution Manager extracts data from the CCMS architecture and the regular Data providers for CCMS.

This is done via RFC's. So as long as you maintain the RFC's correctly after the refresh of your satellite systems and they are working, you should be fine.

It is not recommended to do a system copy of a Solution manager system as many objects in Solution Manager are system dependent and should not be copied via system copy ( eg: Solutions / RFC data / SMSY data etc ).
