Solution Manager upgrade from sp19 ehp1 sp03 to sp06

We just upgraded our solution manager from sp19 ehp1 sp03 to sp23 ehp1 sp06. Do we need to rerun SOLMAN_SETUP to run the Initial and Basic Configuration each time we upgrade? We did this before when we upgraded to sp19 ehp1.

thanks,

Hello Lourdes del Rosario

Every time the SP is upgraded on Solution Manager it is "Mandatory" to run Solman_setup, both Initial and Basic configurations.

The main reason is to ensure the import of the main correction Note is performed, correctly and in the right sequence.

There are sections that can be bypassed, for example you would not have to activate the BC sets again, or provide the User data, but if you are not sure what you can bypass and when, then I would not recommend it.

It is SAP recommendation that everytime the SP is upgraded that Solman_Setup, Initial and Basic Configurations be performed.

So yes, you must perform these activities.

Hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Paul

You just have to run the basic configuration. "Basic configuration and configuration of managed systems:

When you update the Support Package Stack (SPS), you can start the basic configuration or the configuration of managed systems. You can do this only after you have executed the initial configuration."
